Titill: Crosslinking mass spectrometry-past, present and future
Ágrip: Crosslinking mass spectrometry was introduced in the late 1990s as a tool for structural determination. Since then, it has become an essential complementary method for studying protein structure and interactions, and is now emerging as a key technology in integrative structural biology and systems-wide interactomics. In this seminar, I will introduce the principles of crosslinking mass spectrometry and share insights from my previous work applying crosslinking mass spectrometry to investigate protein structure and protein-protein interactions. I will also discuss current challenges in the field, such as data analysis and resolution limitations, and highlight exciting future directions, particularly in mapping dynamic protein networks and large-scale interactomes.GH
