The two guest lecturers will share their personal experiences as members of the Korean diaspora and discuss how this journey has shaped their cultural identities and sense of belonging.
Svanni is Korean-Icelandic and currently a master’s student in Translation Studies. She was adopted from Korea to Iceland through a Norwegian adoption agency in the 1970s and has lived in Iceland ever since.
Dan is a Korean-American stand-up comedian and teacher who has been living in Iceland for five years. He is the host and creator of Belonging?, a stand-up comedy show about immigrants living in Iceland that sold out Tjarnarbíó.
