Libraries as Hubs of Knowledge, Community, and Change: Seminar on Advancing Education, Sustainability, and Social Impact Through Libraries - In Honor of Professor Emerita Ágústa Pálsdóttir.
This seminar brings together educators, researchers, professionals, and students in Library and Information Science to critically reflect on the current state and future directions of the field within the European context. Through a combination of panel discussions, visits to local institutions, and forward-looking conversations, participants will explore how libraries can advance the United Nations 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development and how their missions can be more fully integrated into university teaching, student engagement, and community partnerships. By fostering dialogue and collaboration, the seminar seeks to advance new approaches in Library and Information Science education and strengthen connections between academic programs and the civic role of cultural institutions.
