26. júní flytur Dr. Priscilla Machado, rannsóknarlektor við Department of Radiology við Thomas Jefferson University í Fíladelfíu í Bandaríkjunum erindið: „Non-invasive portal pressure estimation“ á vegum Rafmagns- og tölvuverkfræðideildar HÍ.
Ágrip á ensku:
Portal hypertension (PH) is the underlying cause of most complications associated with cirrhosis, which is currently optimally diagnosed by the hepatic venous pressure gradient (HVPG) which can also be used to evaluate disease progression. Subharmonic imaging (SHI) is a contrast-specific ultrasound (US) imaging technique receiving at half the transmit frequency resulting in better tissue suppression. Our group at Thomas Jefferson University proposed the use of SHI and ultrasound contrast agent as pressure sensors in a technique called subharmonic-aided pressure estimation (SHAPE) for noninvasive quantitative pressure estimation and this technique was used to assess PH.
