Námsgrein í spænsku við Mála- og menningardeild Háskóla Íslands boðar til opins fyrirlesturs Gabriel Borowski, fræðimanns við Stofnun rómanskra fræða við Jagiellonian-háskóla í Kraków, Póllandi. Fyrirlesturinn nefnir hann „Cultural anthropophagy and translation studies."

For the last 30 years, one of the most significant concepts for global translation studies has been the idea of cultural cannibalism. What is regarded as the primary source of this metaphor are the writings of the Brazilian poets and translators, brothers Haroldo (1929–2003) and Augusto (born in 1931) de Campos. The main objective of this lecture is to give insight into this concept and to discuss its refractions in contemporary translation studies.
