Applying to start in the spring semester

Unfortunately, it is not likely that citizens outside the EEA will be able to start a study programme at the University of Iceland in the spring semester. This is due to the fact that the Directorate of Immigration requires residence permit applications to be submitted no later than 1 November in order to issue permits before the start of spring semester classes.

Make sure you meet the academic and language proficiency requirements for the programme you have selected. Each programme has its own entry requirements. Gather required documents. You will need to provide documents such as transcripts, a CV, and letters of recommendation. Make sure you have these ready before starting the application process. Supporting documents usually need to be uploaded using the appropriate field on the application form. More on supporting documents
